First Date
My first date with Bran was at Denny's at 11:45 PM, give or take 30 minutes. He was dragging his feet and therefore was running late. We were supposed to meet at 11 pm, after I finished closing the store.
I had met him earlier that day, for the second time in my life. Rewind five months, Bran introduced himself to me at my Register.
I'm a cashier. I've been in Retail since 2021, working various jobs because of my ADHD.
Back to the point, he shared his life story and left. That was when I had just started my new job at Dollar Tree in January. I didn't see him again until the middle of May.
I had literally prayed for a date, and God answered. I was ready to "replace" my ex-husband of five years. I just could not get over my ex-husband. Nothing worked! We were married for five years and now we are going on five and a half years of divorce. It's been over ten years since I have met Jo, and I can't get him out of my heart or head.
Back to my second ex-husband...
He was very late, and I almost left. Should have. It would have saved me heartbreak and 17,000 dollars of credit card debt from being homeless for six weeks, living in hotels. That includes the wedding rings I bought with my own "money" on credit.
Bran was a sweet man, but he was also a jerk. He had wandering eyes, and he cheated on me.
After six weeks of being "too much" (I was weeping at that point in the conversation) he tried to put me on a bus home, which my family had provided the funds for. I didn't want to go. I tricked him into letting me drive the second half of the trip from Utah to Nevada, and I TURNED US AROUND.
Lol. I almost drove to SC. Private joke. We would have ran out of gas. Good thing that God prompted me to wake up Bran and tell him my plan. Boy was he MAD!
